Collaborated Works:
I'd also love to host the works of others if you have poems or stories you'd care to share (I can post your name/e-mail if you'd like, or you can
send it to me and I'll post it as an anonymous author). Contact me (see link below) if you're interested!
Hate a Piece/Rant/Review? Love it? Does my Writing Style Need Fixing? Want Me to Host a Work? Think this page is crap wrapped in hypertext? Drop me a line here
I'm not exactly a skilled/good writer, but I have fun. Anyway, if I have anything interesting, I'll post it here.
The Three Brothers by Ebonlight: Parts- | 1 | 2 | 3 | :
This is a short story in progress. I have a general idea of what I want to do, but I'm not too sure how to execute it plotwise.
Anyway, its rough and largely unedited, but Part One is now up for your perusal. Advice and Questions are welcome. If you
want to fix my terrible sentence structuring- well, then you'd be my hero. Updates to Part 1, and later Chapters
hopefully to come. Part 1 is pretty much just description, by the way (just to warn you). Truth be told, its really up just so I'd having something here!
Scene from a Short Story by Ebonlight.
This is a scene from the middle of a short story I'm writing for class. If it doesn't make sense now, it's probably because the freaking beginning is missing (I haven't written it yet... it'll come... eventually ). Anyway, hope you enjoy it: I thought it was fun to write.
My College Admission Essay by Ebonlight.
This was the essay I used to get into William and Mary. Those Admission people were undoubtedly on drugs when they decided to let me in after reading this particularly piece... ;-) ...Um, it's about this time I fell off a scooter...
Various Character Sketches by Ebonlight.
Random character sketches I wrote while designing a plotline for a creative writing class (same characters appearing in the "Sene from a Short Story" posted above).
A Faerie Tail (Introduction) by Ebonlight.
The introduction to my Fairytale- as if I haven't incessantly been e-mailing the chapters to poor sods like yourself all along. Ah yes, and accolades to Becca for all the story advice, and to Courtney who undoubtedly took absolutely none of my advice for her school fairytale *hem HEM!*, but still got me headed on my fairytale writing-ness. Naturally, all the blame falls squarely on them. ;-)
If I'm ever pissed, sad, weird or otherwise moody and/or contemplative I will try to put down
any thoughts I (at least) find interesting
Musings on Winnie the Pooh by Ebonlight.
Not really a Rant, just proof of the psychological damage watching a net-video of Winnie Worshipping Satan can have on a fragile webmaster's psyche.
Penguins Can Kick Jesus' Ass by Ebonlight.
...Yeah You Heard Me
Respect the Knight You Ninja Loving Bastards! by Ebonlight. Why the glorious and noble tradition of "beating the shit out of things with large pointy metal sticks" should NOT lay down and die in the face of the world's love of ninja-pirates over them.
My Field Guide for Valentines Day Music: Or What to Listen To While Stalking and Devouring Your Prey Before Spitting Out Their Shattered and Scarred Souls by Ebonlight. A continuation of the age old tradition of teenage losers ranting against Valentines day (a tad early in my case). Also a preparatory guide on the how's of Valentine's Day stalking and dumping.
Reviews of Books, Movies, Websites, and pretty much anything else I happen to come across.
Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk. A novel by the Author of Fight Club reviewed by Ebonlight. This is my first attempt at a review- keep my inexperience in mind while reading- hopefully I'll get better with time. :-)
Ghost World Directed by Terry Zwigoff. Review by Ebonlight. It's a movie: fun! (actually, it's a comic book too, now that I think about it). This is my second review, and is notable because it's where I give-up actual attempts at plot summary and good reviewing etiquette, and instead insult anyone who doesn't like/dislike what I like/dislike. On that note: "You suck if you didn't enjoy this film." (... just kidding... maybe...)
The works of Others Who Wanted to Post on My Site for Whatever Reason
The works of multiple authors collaborating- and currently a "write your own" story open to all visitors!
Pathways to Infinity The first of what will, hopefully, become many of the "each visitor writes a paragraph/section" type of the story. The story starter is now up. Hopefully it doesn't suck, and is cool enough to add to (as well as vague enough that it could go... anywhere). So Add Something Already! :-)
